Zara Phythian and her husband were convicted guilty of child sex offenses.
Zara Phythian, star of ‘Doctor Strange,’ and her husband face prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old child.
Phythian was found guilty of 14 charges of sexual conduct with a minor between 2005 and 2008, when the girl was in her early teens, by Nottingham Crown Court jurors.
Marke was also found guilty of the same 14 crimes and indecent assault charges involving another young girl he molested at least eight times between 2002 and 2008.
The pair had jointly disputed 14 counts of sexual behavior with a minor. Still, after a 12-day trial, the jury found them guilty.
When questioned by police after the couple’s detention in 2017, Marke referred to the claims as “paedophile s***.”
“If you’re suggesting I’m a paedophile, you’re wrong,” he informed the cops.
Phythian told officers she had never had any sexual contact with the child and that the accusations were “b*******.”
Phythian – a martial arts expert who participated in the 2016 Marvel picture with Benedict Cumberbatch — offered her rum and asked if she wanted to play “dares” before Marke had sex with the couple. The girl told the court.
Marke asked her to videotape him and Phythian together in an “effort to replicate sexual scenarios” until she reached 18, and the torture lasted until she turned 18.
The couple embraced when the judgment was read in court, and Marke could be heard weeping.
The couple had been on bail throughout the trial. Still, after the guilty verdict, Judge Mark Watson remanded them in jail and stated they would be sentenced on May 16.
“Both of you know the sentence I give on May 16 is likely to be measured by a significant time of imprisonment,” he informed them.
